Today's Stop: Milton, Pa.

Dubious distinctionsFrom Philadelphia's Independence Hall, where a nation was born, to Gettysburg, where the Union was preserved, Pennsylvania is home to major milestones in the development of the nation. But Pennsylvania has also had its share of disasters – including, but not limited to, floods; earthquakes; fires; industrial accidents and epidemics. It’s as much a part of the state’s folklore as the Civil War battles. To read more about them go to Pennsylvania's Hexylvania Web site to learn more about Pennsylvania Folklore. Today, the Overdrive 40th Anniversary Voice of the American Trucker Tour stops at the Petro – Exit 32 off I-80 – in Milton, Pa. Milton lies close to some of Pennsylvania’s most interesting attractions. In about 20 minutes, you can visit Clyde Peeling’s Reptiland where alligators, snakes, lizards and other reptiles jump and hiss at you from behind thick glass. During the summer, you can see tortoises, iguanas and aquatic turtles in outdoor habitats. You can feed the koi and watch the water boil or drop a hapless cricket into the lair of a well-trained snapping turtle. If you’re willing to travel a little further, you can visit Hershey Chocolate World or the Crayola factory in Easton. Tomorrow's stop: Perrysburg, OhioAugust 14TAPerrysburg, Ohio3483 Libbey Road
